Ranbir Kapoor’s impressive punctuality

He may be a star son with a huge fan following, but Ranbir Kapoor is keeping himself grounded and professional. His punctuality impressed everyone during the shoot of the Tips Films’ ‘Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani’ in Ooty.

The hotel where the unit of the film is staying is an hour’s drive from the shooting location which is at a little outskirt of the hill station. The unit members had to get ready for the 8 am shift, but where only quite a handful get ready on time, Ranbir was always the first person to be ready at dot 7 am with full make up on. While he used to reach the sets at 8 am, the rest all including Katrina Kaif, his co-star and even director Rajkumar Santoshi followed at around 9 am.

But not the one to complain, Ranbir greeted them all smilingly and mixed with every single one of the unit. In fact, he has impressed the Tips Film owner Ramesh Taurani so much that he wants to sign Ranbir for a multiple film deal.

Geeta Basra to woo her fans in a music video

Geeta Basra has given just two films to Bollywood, (‘Dil Diya Hai’ and ‘The Train), yet she has managed to get hold of a considerable fan following and now she has something new for her admirers. This time Geeta will be shaking her stuff not for some flick but for a music video.

Here is what Geeta had to say about it. “I may have been termed choosy all this while but I don’t have any regrets about it. That’s the way I want to shape my career. I am young with age on my side and any wrong step would have been disastrous. I would rather wait and watch than burn my fingers.”

Geeta explains why she decided to do the video saying, “The sheer vision of the director and an emotional story that runs with it. Apart from lead roles, there were offers for item songs and music videos but I didn’t want to do anything where my heart was not set in. This one does sound exciting though. The setup is quite big, the scale is large and the grandeur amazing. This is not going to be one of those regular music video that you get to see all the time.”

It took a lot of persuasion and clearing of doubts before the producers could get a nod from Geeta. Directed by Colossus, the outfit run by video directors Ajay and Lovel Arora, the video is pasteurized on Geeta and a new male model named Rahul. “Lovel is a good friend of mine and I am happy to be finally working with him. When he came to meet me, he knew and hence further convinced me that I was perfect for it”, says Geeta.

The song in the music video is from Sukhshinder Shinda, who is a well-known UK based Bhangra producer and artist. He has worked on over 200 albums while producing numerous hit songs in last couple of decades.

‘Kambakht Ishq’ in trouble for use of foul language

‘Kambakht Ishq’ in trouble for use of foul language

Promos of Sajid Nadiadwala’s ‘Kambakht Ishq’ starring Kareena Kapoor, Akshay Kumar, Carmen Electra, Sylvester Stallone and some other Hollywood stars have landed in trouble for the use of foul language where both the lead stars call each other canine names. Its shows Kareena calling Akki a dog and in turn he calls her a bitch. Apart from this scene, there is also a line indicating that women are only meant for making love.

The people in the Censor Board were obviously not very happy with this and as a result they have given it an A Certificate. Consequently, the film’s promo cannot be shown on TV. Sajid Nadiadwala, who is currently abroad, is gearing up to confront the board when he return to India.

Says, Vinayak Azad, Regional Officer, Censor Board, “Yes, we have given the promos an A Certificate because I found it very inappropriate.”

“Kareena calls Akshay a dog and in turn he calls her a bitch. Apart from this scene, there is also a line indicating that women are only meant for making love. I found that very inappropriate, because in a promo you can’t understand the context of the scene as we have not yet seen the film,” he added.
